Popeye Is Coming Back to the Big Screen

Sony Animation has announced this weekend that they will be bringing a feature-length animated Popeye film to the big screen in 2014.

More specifically, the film will hit theatres on September 26, 2014. The 3D film will be directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (of Samarai Jack and Hotel Transylvania fame) while Scherick and David Ronn will write the film.

This will be the first time the spinach loving character will see a film adaptation in over 30 years.
