With Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” still making an impact at the box office, it is unlikely we will see another film from Anderson in the near future. However, today it was revealed that Wes has already set his sights on his next project, and has approached a plethora of A-list stars to feature in the film.
Johnny Depp, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jude Law, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe and Angela Lansbury have all been confirmed as “approached”, although none of the impressive ensemble have been confirmed as starring in the film as of yet.
What we do know about the project is that it will be set in Europe, and will “not be family friendly.” As “Moonrise Kingdom” just became Anderson’s second biggest box office hit, behind “The Royal Tenenbaums” it is expected more information will be revealed soon. Although it may not be hitting screens for some time, one can only assume a casting list as large as this is sure to bring about an excellent, if not intriguing, film experience.
