Andrew W.K. to Send One Million Volts of Electric Current Through David Blaine’s Body with Keyboard Solo

If you haven’t heard already, illusionist David Blaine is set to orchestrate an unthinkable, and somewhat, peculiar stunt this coming weekend.

The event is being dubbed “Electrified” and it will all go down this Sunday in New York at Pier 54. More details regarding the event have just been released, and it just keeps getting weirder.

Rocker Andrew W.K. will be on hand for the event, in which he “will perform a unique keyboard solo using a tesla coil powered instrument in which David Blaine will be imprisoned as 1,000,000 volts of party music surge through his body.”

Yes, Blaine is going to send 1,000,000 volts of electric current through his body.

The event itself involves Blaine spending three days and three nights standing inside a metal suit, enduring constant electrical shocks. And of course, the whole thing will be live-streamed on YouTube for our viewing pleasure.

Speaking about the stunt, Andrew W.K. said,

“This is absolutely a once in a lifetime musical experience and probably the most dangerous musical instrument ever created. I’m absolutely electrified and terrified by the opportunity to play a keyboard solo with so much energy, and to use this incredibly powerful device to a send a musical surge through David’s brain!”

Well, it certainly isn’t something that’s been done before, so props for originality Blaine. Hopefully he lives to tell the tale.
