The story goes as follows, Ronald McDonald bought an old dilapidated home that dated back to 1795 with the intention of tearing it down to create a new McDonald’s facility. In protest, the citizens of New Hyde Park had the site declared as a historical landmark, thus McDonald’s decided to embrace the history and opted to restore the building to the glory of what is now known as one of the most beautiful McDonald’s in the world.
