Marty the Real Nyan Cat Passes Away

If you’re a fan of internets you’re most likely acquainted with Marty, the real life inspiration for the Nyan Cat.

Sadly on November 1st, Marty the russian blue cat passed away. He contracted a fatal form of Feline Infectious Peritonitis.

Chris Torres (Marty’s owner and creator of the Nyan Cat) took to twitter to announce the news involving one of the world’s most viewed felines:
